Will Calypso

My task that I had to complete was to create a calypso accompaniment to the melody of ‘Every Time You Need a Calypso.’ The success criteria was: I can create a rhythmic pattern for a percussion instrument using Garage Band software, I can play and record a syncopated bass line using notes C, F and G using garage band software, and I can organise my time and finish the task on time. I believe I achieved the success criteria because I did all of those things very well. From the last time I made the improvements that my classmates suggested. I made there be not as many instrument in the beginning, and had more instruments near the end of the song. The most difficult part of creating the improved piece was moving everything to the right place and keeping it on time with the metronome. I found the what I thought was the right spot to put the track and played the song. I kept doing that until it was on time and fit with the rest of the song. An improvement I would make, although I am very happy with my song, is to get a better volume mix on each of the instruments. If I do the listener will be able to hear every instrument without having trouble. I think I had a great pick of instruments, I have a guitar, bongo drums, a shaker, a piano. Those are my favourite instruments that I incorporated in my song. The next thing I need to do is show my song to some people, including my classmates, and listen to their feedback. When I get more feedback I can improve my song more.
