Batucada

Hi, this project is based in the idea of a batucada, the brazilian samba played with percusion instruments only. Although there are some percusion instruments generally used to play batucada (i.e. repinique, surdo, low surdo, tamborim, cuica, caixa), if people do not have them they can join using whatever object that can produce sound. Following this idea, I have used some MIDI sounds and some basic rhythm patterns. The recording has four 8 bars sections and the idea is that anybody could join and add new rhythm patters on some or all those sections. I have used GarageBand, but as I have uploaded an mp3 track of the project it could be imported to any music sequencer. Rhythm patterns could be produced using software sounds or playing acoustic instruments and recording new tracks.
